Its official now Elon musk just bought Twitter for USD 44 billion, few week Elon announced a bid to fully acquire twitter and take it off to stock market, this seemed like the company would politely decline, However few day later Twitter announced to accept Elon offer.
This means twitter has now entered into a definitive agreement to be acquired by an entinty owned by Elon musk.
Musk said " free speech is the bedrock of a functioning democracy and twitter is the digital town square where matters vital to the future of humanity are debated" and add i want to make twitter better than ever enhancing the product with new features making algorithms open source to increase trust, defending the spam bots and authenticating all humans.
